3. Processing of personal data on our website

4.2 Matomo

We use the open source software tool Matomo (formerly PIWIK) on our website to analyze the surfing behavior of our users; Using the statistics obtained in this way, we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. The software places an analysis cookie on the user's computer. If individual pages of our website are called up, the following data is stored:

  • two bytes of the IP address of the calling system of the user. Our website uses Matomo with the "AnonymizeIP" extension. The software is set so that the IP addresses are not saved in full, but 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx). This open source software tool Matomo runs exclusively on the servers of our website. The user's personal data is only stored there. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The IP address transmitted by your browser using Matomo will not be merged with other data collected by us.

4.3 LinkedIn

Within our online offer there are charts and buttons or links that forward to the LinkedIn platform. The provider of this platform is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

4.5 DocCheck

According to german law, we are only allowed to make certain information, such as information about prescription drugs, accessible to specialists. We comply with this legal obligation by using the DocCheck login.
